Mark Spiteri set to join Balzan FC subject to an approval by the MFA after Balzan agreed to deposit the money to MFA headquarters

Balzan have agreed to pay a fee for the sale of Mark Spiteri and the winger is expected to join subject to an approval by the Malta football Association as Floriana FC are still on a prohabition.

The 21 year-old has made it clear he does not wish to sign a new deal at Floriana a close source stated with sportinmalta.com.

With Spiteri’s departure now imminent, president Stephen Vaughan is keen to bolster his wide options with last season loanee Steve Pisani from Hibernians.

Mark Spitari excelled at Floriana before the loan signing of Steve Pisani at January transfer window. He was an integral part of the side that reached the 100th anniversary cup final three years ago and also impressed on his full season with Floriana.

Balzan continued bolster the squad with the signing of former Hamrun Spartans goalkeeper Michael Falzan to prove cover for spanish goalkeeper Dani Martinez.
