Okmalta.com have made it three titles in a row, but had to wait until the very last fixture of the latest MSV Life National League in order to confirm their victory. They topped the Div I standings on 106 points, ahead of Fina on 100, closely followed by Ramis in third place on 99. At the other end of the table, Gladiators and Salitos were relegated to Division II, while taking their place in the top flight are Div II winners, Supreme and runners up J Grima & Sons.

Of the three title contenders, okmalta.com had the most favourable of the week 18 draws, facing bottom side Salitos, while Fina and Ramis were to face Royal Shock and Turu’s Knights respectively. The three matches all started according to okmalta’com’s plan, as they won their first game 709 – 804 while both of their rivals stumbled to opening defeats. Everything continued to go in the leaders’ favour as they bagged a narrow 753 – 759 game two win to go fur ahead. That game win, plus another matching pair of losing games for Fina and Ramis meant that okmalta.com’s third consecutive title was now confirmed. Salitos managed a 721 – 712 game three win for a consolatory two point share, as did both Fina and Ramis in their respective matches, both ending up 2 – 6 losers.

Elsewhere in Division I, HSBC rounded off their campaign with a 6 – 2 victory over ninth placed Gladiators, finishing in sixth place, while The Clan also claimed six against Malta Int. Airport to finish seventh. M.I.A. were already sure of the eighth spot prior to their week 18 clash.

Division II: Supreme managed to hang on to the Division II lead and ensure a return to the first division in the new year, after their 6 – 2 victory over Vintage made sure they stayed ahead of their only rivals for the top spot, J. Grima & Sons. The latter also bagged a majority victory against BOV, and so will also be promoted along with Supreme.

The new MSV Life National League will commence in January, after the festive break. Anyone interested in forming a new league team, or joining an existing team can contact the Eden SuperBowl on 23710777, or via email on superbowl@edenleisure.com
