Joseph Farrugia joined First division promotion hopefuls Luxol St Andrews from Qormi.

The 31 year old rejected the latest contract offer from Qormi and Mosta to pen a 3 year contract with Luxol. Luxol paid nearly 22.000 euros for his services after his contract expired at the end of the season.

Sportinmalta.com contacted Joseph Farrugia as he showed the happiness to be able to wear the purple shirt. He stated that after six years with the black and yellows he is looking forward for a new chapter in his career. The former Man United trialist also thanked the Qormi supporters, Redino Apap and the Fenech family for the amazing six years at Qormi.

Last but not least, he thanked newly elected Luxol president Steve Abela for making this transfer possible after a series of long discussions.

He will start the pre-season training with his new team mates this week under coach Wayne Attard.
