Official: Clive Brincat joins Rabat Ajax, next target Malcolm Licari

Rabat Ajax have completed the signing of defender Clive Brincat from Marsaxlokk on loan with an option for a permanent deal .

The 29-year-old centre-back, will provide more defensive options for coach Silvio Vella.

Brincat is a versatile, defender who also captained the Marsaxlokk side last season, and also played for Msida St Joseph in the Premier Division.

Newcomers Rabat Ajax are also chasing the versatile Malcolm Licari as the 33 year old is far for reaching a deal with the Amateurs for various reasons. Rabat Ajax under the presidency of Michael Scriha, brother of Valletta president Victor, also penned a one year deal for Yan Cauchi from Hibernians.

Sliema Wanderers gave the permission to the 20 year old James Paris to train with Melita. The former Mqabba midfielder also played for Martin Gregory’s side this week  in the 1-0 win over Pembroke.

A Melita spokesman confirmed that the player could be joining the club, but no final decision was taken.
