Nicky Carabott wins Muscat Cup Trap Selection

Nicky Carabott was the overall winner of The Muscat Cup Trap Selection shoot organized by The Malta Shooting Sport Federation at Bidnija this weekend.

This competition was on 125 clays Trap with the top six to qualify for a barrage final of another 25 clays.

Nicky Carabott placed 1st with 111+22=133

Jason J.Aquilina placed 2nd with 107+20=127

Stephen Vella placed 3rd with 105+20=125

Stanley Cardona placed 4th with 106+18=124

Alvin Vella placed 5th with 105+18=123

Anthony Sammut placed 6th with 103+16=119

Class A 1st Stanley Cardona 47/50

              2nd Nicky Carabott 46/50

              3rd Antione Bugeja 45/50

Class B 1st Alvin Vella 45/50

              2nd Charlie Demanuele 43/50

             3rd Emmanuel Attard 42/50

Class C 1st James Galea Jr. 43/50

Meanwhile Thanks to The MOC- CONI agreement, this week a contingent of the Malta Rifle and Pistol Club affiliated in The MSSF is at a training camp in Italy. This training camp is a build up for the Maltese shooters taking part in The GSSE 2011, to be held in Liechtenstein. They are assisted by MSSF Secretary Dr. Carmel Cascun.

Double Trap Maltese shooters William Chetcuti and Nathan Lee Xuereb will leave Malta next week where they will participate in The Italian International Double Trap Grand Prix 2011 to be organized by FITAV and CONI at Umbria Verde in Italy. They will be assisted by their coach Jimmy Bugeja and will also take part in Campionato Italiani Di Double Trap.
