New swimming head coach for Sirens

Sirens ASC has confirmed the appointment of Davina Mangion as the new Head Coach for the revamped swimming school. Davina is presently finishing her last year reading for a Bachelor of Education specialising in Physical Education at the Institute for Physical Education and Sport. Davina has coached different categories for a number of years.

She has been involved in competitive swimming for 12 years during which she competed at National and International levels in a number of events amongst which are; FISEC games (Hungary 2001, Malta 02, Spain 03, and Malta 04); GSSE (Malta2003, Andorra 05, Monaco 07, and Cyprus 09); FINA World Championships (Montreal 2005, Melbourne 07, and Rome 09) Davina has been a member of the National Team for the last 10 years and is presently still competing. Davina’s targets amongst others are to introduce a cooperative dry land and year round swimming programme which allows swimmers to reach their maximal potential and have more athletes qualifying for National meets.
