New national and age group swimming records

John Hick (Neptunes) competed in the 1500m at the Short Course XVII Trofeu Major Sylvio De Magalhaes Padilha held in Guaratingueta, Sao Paolo in Brazil establishing a new Short Course National Record with a time of 16:51.30. The previous record of 17:47.77 was held by Neil Agius and was achieved in England in October 2009.

Mya Azzopardi (Neptunes) competed in the Short Course “1 Meeting Regionale Categoria” in Frosinone, Italy and broke the Short Course Record in the 200m Freestyle event, establishing a time of 2:03.91. The previous record of 2:04.76 was held by Francesca Falzon Young and was achieved November 2018 in Dubai. Mya also took part in the 200m Individual Medley event and improved her National Short Course Record with a time of 2:19.39. Previously, her time was 2:21.97 and was achieved in November 2018 in Riccione.

During the 2nd Time Trials organized by the ASA of Malta Kristy Delia (Inspire) competed in the 400m Freestyle event and established the Age Group D Record with a time of 5:10.67. This record was previously Vacant with a Standard Time of 5:17.14.

Sasha Gatt (M’Xlokk) swam the 1500m Freestyle event establishing a National Long Course Record time of 17:57.71. The previous record of 18:06.28 was held by Sasha herself and was achieved in Gzira in February 2019.
