New National and Age Group Swimming Records

During the Slovenian Grand Prix held at the Olympic Pool in Ravne, Slovenia on the 1st August 2020, Sasha Gatt broke the Age Group D Record for 200m Freestyle clocking a time of 2:09,72. The previous record of 2:09,74 was held by Francesca Falzon Young since July 2016 in Gzira.

During the same competition on the 2nd August 2020, Sasha Gatt also broke the National Record and Age Group D Record for 1500m Freestyle when she established the time of 17:26,96. Previously the Age Group record was vacant whilst the National Record was of 17:57,71 and was held by Sasha herself since November 2019 in Gzira.

During the second Swimming Festival held on the 6th and 9th August 2020, the following records were broken:
Thomas Wareing swam the 400m Individual Medley in a National Record time of 04:38,62. The previous record of 04:42,02 was held by Thomas himself and was established in Gzira in June 2018.

Sasha Gatt swam the 200m Freestyle in an Age Group D time of 02:08,37, improving the time she had established in the Slovenian Grand Prix in Ravne.

Francesca Falzon Young, Amy Micallef, Leah Tanti and Nicola Muscat swam the 4x50m Medley in a National Record time of 02:03,24. The previous record of 02:04,30 was held by Nicole Cremona, Melinda Sue Micallef, Davina Mangion and Talisa Pace since June 2009 and had been established in
Gzira.
