New, bigger and fully accessible premises for Juventus supporters in MaltaSunday, February 5, 2017, 22:00
Supporters of Juventus in Malta can now make use of new premises which were inaugurated earlier this week by the Juventus Club Cuore Bianconero, in Troubridge Street, Marsa.
The new premises are much bigger than the older ones in Imrieħel, and bring with them full accessibility to people with mobility problems, the elderly and parents of young kids.
One can also make use of nappy changing facilities in gender neutral toilets aimed at making the premises an attraction and accomodating for all the family.
During his address, the club’s President Omar Busuttil noted how this club, which started operating just five years ago, grew substantially. The club is officially recognised as the biggest foreign Juventus supporters club in the world.
The opening ceremony also served as a symbol of unity, with Omar Busuttil declaring that the committee is ready to work with any other supporters club in Malta and Gozo. In fact, all committees of other supporter clubs in Malta, including from other local Juventus clubs and rival clubs in Italy, Spain and England, were invited.
A highlight of the opening ceremony was a message by Italian international midfielder and Juventus player Claudio Marchisio, who sent a personal message to all Maltese Juventus supporters where he expressed his desire to visit our island in the near future.
Present for the opening ceremony was Nationalist Party Leader Simon Busuttil, politicians from both political parties and a number of distinguished guests.
