Local waterpolo giants Neptunes Emirates are preparing a fierce challenge to bring the National League title back to Balluta, following their back-to-back titles in 2006 and 2007.

For this season Neptunes will be featuring the seasoned ex-Serbian captain, Vlado Vujasinović, who does not need any introduction to local waterpolo fans after his successfull season in 2007 with Neptunes. His fierce and accurate shooting together with his great sense of team spirit will definitely bolster the chances of Neptunes to take the honours this season. “Il Kaiser”, as he is know in waterpolo circles, brings with him a wealth of experience which includes World Cup titles, Olympic medals and was also named best player in the world several times.

In the Tal-Qroqq National pool, Vujasinović will be teaming up with another waterpolo great in the shape of Tamás Molnár. The latter has won the Olympic games with Hungary on 3 occasions in 2000, 2004 and 2008 and is currently featuring in Hungary’s top club, Szeged Beton.
