In the most important game this weekend, Neptunes Emirates overcame a balanced and tense first session to overcome Sirens Ritter Sports and maintain their perfect record this season to keep their joint top spot with Sliema McDonalds.

Neptunes' Steve Camilleri, 4 goals against Sirens

In yesterday’s game, Neptunes, who had Serbian star Vlado Vujasinovic back in their ranks, won the first session with a minimal 2-1 score, but in the second and third session they pulled away to make the score 11-5 with only the 4th session to go.

Although some dubious refereeing calls were made, Sirens could not keep the pace with their Balluta rivals, with the latter having Steve Camilleri in fine form, netting 4 goals and Vujasinovic marshaling them well, while a bit more was expected from triple Olympic champion Tamás Molnár. The last session was a bit of a drab affair, finishing with a 1-1 score, handing Neptunes the 2 points.
