Nathan Lee Xuereb placed fourth at the ISSA World Championships 2014

Double Trap Maltese shooter Nathan Lee Xuereb finished 4th Place overall in The ISSF World Championships Juniors DT Event being held today at Granada, Spain.
Nathan Lee managed 26/30 in his first round , followed by 27/30, 37/30, 29/30 and a perfect straight of 30/30 for a total of 139/150 to qualify in the first position for the semi finals. In the semi finals Nathan Lee managed 28/30 equal score with five more shooters. A shoot off had to determine the place in the Gold Silver or Bronze medal match where he managed 8/10 to qualify for The Bronze medal match with Slepushkin Anton from Russia. The Russian shooter managed 28/30 to win The Bronze medal while Nathan lee Xuereb managed 24/30 to place 4th overall.
Italian Andrea Vescovi won The Gold medal match with 29/30 while Ian Rupert of USA won silver with 28/30.
Gianluca Chetcuti had a modest debut in ISSF World Championships to place 9th with 130/150.
William Chetcuti competed today in the seniors event where he managed 134/150. MSSF Double Trap coach Jimmy Bugeja that assisted them remarked that he is satisfied that both Maltese Junior Double Trap shooters placed amoung the top 10 International shooters..


Meanwhile Eleonor Bezzina also took part in The 10M Air pistol event where she managed 376-10x while in the 25M Pistol event she managed 558-12x.
