Mya Azzopardi achieved new swimming national records

The ASA National Swimming Squad competed in the 19th International Swimming Festival organized by SV Halle, a Long Course competition, held on the 23rd and 24th March 2019 in Halle, Germany.

During this meet the following National Records were broken: Mya Azzopardi swam the 200m Medley and established a new National Record with a time of 02:24,54. The previous record of 02:24,86 was held by Mya herself and was achieved in July 2018 in Helsinki.

During the same session, Dylan Cachia swam the 400m Freestyle and established a new National Record of 04:09,50. The previous record of 04:11,37 was achieved by Edward Caruana Dingli in April 2011 in Gzira.

On the second day of Competition, Mya Azzopardi swam the 400m Medley event and achieved a National Record time of 05:07,32. The previous record of 05:13,01 was set by Angela Galea in June 2003 in Gzira.
