MSV LIFE MASTERS LEAGUE continued during the week with another three games, with JIVAL (residents of the Correctional Facility of Kordin) gaining their first win beating Bank of Valletta 13-4, the biggest win so far. Although Bank of Valetta disappointed throughout, one must give credit to JIVAL who had a good game under the guidance of coach Mano Micallef with Jean Pierre Abdilla and Nathan John Farrugia getting five goals each.

Luxol St. Andrew’s registered a big win 10-4 against Rabat to go top with Mqabba Masters and the same Rabat Boys, this being their first defeat in four games. The Rabat Team missed one of their players Carmel Azozoardi who was missing due to illness. However Luxol have strong team, showing collective play throughout. For the Rabat team, Christian Muscat tried his best, but his companions failed to inspire and there was no determination in their play.

Between Zurrieq Wolves and Mosta Shaggy Pub we had the first draw of the championship so far, a fair result 5-5. Mosta were the best team in the first period finishing with a good lead of 4-0. However, Zurrieq came back strongly in the second half, scoring five goals to the one of Mosta to gain a merited draw with Roderick Caruana and Carmel Tanti showing some intelligent play.
