In the MSV Life Masters League after seeing all the teams in action, we can now give our true  judgement regarding the strength of the teams. It looks that some of the teams  that possess some quality players  maybe superior to others. However, again we stress that whatever the result  the championship will be very   well contested.

In the their first game, Jival ,after they beaten  Żurrieq Wolves in their first game but found tougher opponents  against Marsa White Stars Barilla  and lost 5-7. The first half was well contested with Marsa taking a leading 5-4. Abugella Wahashi of Jival was showing class and scored three goals. But in the second 30 minutes he was given more attention and he found difficulty to maneuver as he did before. In fact he only managed to score one in the last five minutes. Marsa were very careful tightening their defence but they were still dangerous in their break away.

Wardija were far superior against Tal-Qroqq and with players like  Rene Forace,  Michael Borg Olivier, Stefan Giglio  Eduardo De Nascimento and others were creating dangerous situations for their opponents. De Nascimento ‘Il-Biżu’ was at his best and with some neat dribbling he was going through every time he got the ball. Tal-Qroqq had to suffer more. Almost all the second half they had to play with five player as  Ivan Camenzuli was sent out for retaliation.  Steve Gouder scored one consolation goal for them.

Valletta also started in a positive way their championship campaign with a good win against Żurrieq Wolves  10-4. It was only late in the second half  that Żurrieq  managed to score their first goal after  Valletta had taken a lead of 7-0. In fact they managed  to get  a more respectable result after scoring another three.  Valletta were good and played some interesting moves. When they will be at full strength they will be good enough to challenge all opponents. Żurrieq had their moments but their finishing was poor, especially in the first half.
