Mr Australia to work with Malta players

Current IFBB Australian Under 80kg Bodybuilding Champion and former Mr Australia Mark Grech will work with Malta based rugby league players next month.

The bodybuilder, a trainer at the Penrith Panthers NRL club in recent years, will put players through their paces at Golden Bay.

With all players on the island invited to take part, the session will exclusively set the ball rolling for the Malta national team’s training schedule as they prepare for a two match series against Lancashire at Hamrun on October 14 and 17.

Grech said “I haven’t been back to Malta for a few years so I am looking forward to this visit”

“It’s great to work with the likes of Charlie Duca (three time Mr Universe runner-up) in Australia but getting into it over there with the domestic players is not only special but very important to the development of the game”

“Rugby League is an outstanding game I’ve been involved with since a young age and to learn of the progress of the game back in the homeland is great news”

“One thing I’m disappointed about is that my team, the Penrith Panthers are doing so well (in the NRL) and around finals time, I’m going to be in Europe. But I know we will head down to Portside Lounge to catch all the games there”
