Premier League club Rabat Ajax are set to sign Qormi striker Moises Avila Perez to replace Jose Luis Negrin, who joined Balzan FC.

The former Birkirkara striker is set to sign a one year deal with the Magpies and is expected to be available for the second game of the season as he not yet 100% fit.

The 25 year old was brought in Malta by Birkirkara two season ago and scored 16 goals for the Stripes. Last season he joined Qormi in January and found the net 10 times.

In the 2004-2005 season Moises was playing for C.D. Tenerife where he played 20 games and scored 15 goals.

The following season saw Moises extend his stay with C.D. Tenerife where in this season he played 25 games and managed to find the net 16 times.

Moises continued to impress with Tenerife and in the 2006-2007 season he played 27 matches and he scored 15 goals.

In the 2007-2008 season, Moises continued his adventure with Tenerife. In that season he had a very good scoring rate, when from 18 matches, he managed to score no less than 16 goals.

In the final season with Tenerife, 2008-2009, Moises played 26 matches and managed to find the net 18 times.

In the 2009-2010 season, Avila joined Atlético Victoria and in his first season with the new team, he played 28 matches and scored 20 goals to finish as runner-up best scorer.

What he failed to achieve in the first season with Atlético Victoria, he achieved in the second season when A.T. won the Championship and earned a promotion to an upper division. For Moises it was a brilliant season as from 38 matches he scored 25 goals to end up the top scorer of the league.
