MOC contingent for IV Commonwealth Youth Games

The Maltese Olympic Committee will be among all Commonwealth countries during the 4th Edition of the Commonwealth Youth Games to be held in the Isle of Man. The contingent of 5 young athletes and respective coaches was led by MOC Secretary General, Mr. Joseph Cassar. These athletes form part of the MOC Youth programme and the participation in these Games is part of their programme in order to gain further international experience in a multi-sport environment such as the Commonwealth Youth Games.

Malta will be participating in gymnastics and swimming.

Andreana Zammit and Kirsty Caruana between the 9th – 11th September will be taking part in the Artistic Team, the individual all-round and individual apparatus events.

Swimmers Nicola Muscat, Andrea Agius and Mark Sammut will be having heats as from Friday morning with eventual finals in the evening, which competitions will be the same as for Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th

Nicola Muscat will be taking part in 100 m freestyle, 50 m butterfly, 50 m freestyle, 50 m backstroke.

Andrea Agius will be taking part in 100m breaststroke, 50 m breastroke while Mark Sammut in 50 m butterfly, 50m backstroke, 100 m butterfly, 100 m backstroke.
