Floriana have confirmed that coach Michael Woods has tendered his resignation and his contract will be terminated once the committee unanimously accepts his decision this evening.

Michael Woods, has offered his resignation in the wake of Wednesday’s defeat by Birkirkara.

The 50 year old was in charge of the Greens for one year after he took the reins from Bulgarian coach Todor Raykov, ironically after Floriana were defeated 4-0 by Marsaxlokk in the first game of the championship pool. The former Footballer of the year guided Floriana to U*BET FA Trophy victory against Valletta to bring back a success after 19 years in the doldrums.

Goalkeeper coach Roger Camilleri, team manager Anthony Grech Sant and Peter Agius also left their positions.
