MEPA nod of approval for Tedesco Stadium works

The Malta Football Association was last week happy to hear that MEPA (Malta Environmental and Planning Authority) has approved the continuation of structural works that had originally kicked off withour the neccesary permits.

The PA  1301/12   permit now sanctions the upgrading of Victor Tedesco stadium, including part demolition of previously existing structures; sanctioning the construction of extension of facilities  at  dressing  room  level  -2 including main  entrance  leading  to  this  level,  bar  area level -1,  other facilities at ground floor and first floor in Triq Mile  End  and alterations to secondary entrance in Triq  Schembri;  and  proposed  upgrading  of area in front of main  entrance  including landscaping and  parking, site at Victor Tedesco Stadium, Triq Mile End, Triq Schembri, Hamrun.

The news was confirmed by Hamrun’s Vice President Joe Fenech during yesterday’s edition of Kontrattakk broadcast on TVM2.

MFA’s CEO Bjorn Vassallo had some months ago declared that MFA projects would be “fast tracked”.
