Handball: Matthew Mamo Appointed European Handball Federation Competitions Delegate

Mr. Matthew Mamo successfully participated in the 2014 European Handball Federation course in Vienna together with 17 other delegates from different European Nations. The course covered all aspects of the delegate’s role around the match including rules of the game and referee matters, regulations and also event management with a focus on marketing and TV as well as security management. Mr. Mamo will be assigned to work in European Handball competitions for the season 2014/15.

Meanwhile, Malta EHF delegate Alan Grima will be off to Austria for the 2014/2015 Men’s EHF Cup first round double match between Bregenz Handball (Austria) and HC Dragunas Klaipeda (Lithuania).

The two matches will be played at the ‘Handballarena Rieden-Vorkloster’ in Bregenz The referees for both matches are Libor Skruzny and Radoslav Kavulcic from Czech Republic.

The winning team will play Skjern Handball from Denmark in the second round of the competition.
