Sunday, December 7, 2014, 11:57

This week another three matches took place with Mqabba Massters winning their fifth consecutive game and now they are leading the standings with maximum points.

The team of the Residents of the Correctional Facility at Kordin, JIVAL, lost against Mqabba Masters 6-2, but the score does not give the true picture as Mqabba had to fight all the way with JIVAL being unlucky especially in the second half. JIVAL are showing progress In every game and until the first half when they were leading twice, they are 2-2. However in the second half after losing some easy chances, they had no reaction to stop Mqabba from scoring further goals.

In their second match, Mqabba Masters beat Zurrieq Wolves 10-4 and they had Glen Barry in excellent form scoring no less than six goals. Both teams had some regular players missing. Up to the end of the first half, Mqabba were leading 3-0 and with Zurrieq improving in the second half, they still could not be stopped from scoring further goals.

Rabat Boys returned to winning form when they beat Attard Mealy 6-3 in a delicate match. Attard improved a lot u they are tough opponents for every team. Up to the end of the first half the score was 2-2, but in the second half they lost too many chances with Rabat scoring the all important goals.
