Marsaxlokk target more youngsters as Mosta target experience

Marsaxlokk are interested in signing Hibernians defender Jonathan Xerri who last season was loaned to Vittoriosa Stars. The twenty one year old is set to be reunited with last season’s mentor Winston Muscat at the south coast. The Blues are also keen to add Floriana’s promising youngster Clyde Borg to their ranks.

Mosta have made an offer for defender cum midfielder Stefan Giglio. According to technical adviser Jeffrey Farrugia “vinc”, the Premier League newcomers are looking to add more experience to their squad. The thirty two year old joined Qormi a year and a half ago from his boyhood club Valletta after successful spells in Bulgaria and with Sliema Wanderers. This could be the third time for Giglio to work again with Farrugia as in the past they were with the same team at Valletta and Sliema Wanderers.

First Division Side Luxol St Andrews signed veteran defender Brain Said after his contract with Floriana expired. The thirty seven year old will add more experience in the defence after Danish Ronnie Hartvig return to his homeland. In the mean time this site can confirm that former Birkikara striker Michael Galea continued his training with Melita this week.
