Marsa Squash Section in Bath & Bristol

This coming weekend will see a team of 8 squash players from the Squash Section of the Marsa Sports Club taking part in a series of challenge team matches in Bath and Bristol.

The team includes past and present national squash team players as well as a number of players from the lower divisions, most of them taking part in their first overseas squash event.

The matches will take place at the David Lloyds Leisure Centre, Bristol, on Friday, and at The Lansdown Squash Club, Bath, on Saturday. On Thursday, the team members will play a variety of matches against members of The Lansdown Club. This squash and social evening is an ideal way for players to get to know each other and test their ability against a wide range of players.
Plenty of social time will be crammed into the trip with a visit to Bath centre, listed as a world heritage site, and a possible visit to the Roman Baths.

By providing local players of all standards with new challenges and experiences in a competitive but also social setting these trips help to strengthen and develop local squash at all levels.

It is hoped that friendships made with the players from Bath and Bristol will be renewed later this year when they intend to visit Malta.
