Next Friday 31st March the Marsa Racetrack will host the first leg of the Mediterranean Horse Racing Championship which this year is being sponsored totally by Chaudron Powerboats.

Last year this championship was won by the Maltese Team and this year Malta will be represented by Anthony Demanuele.  The other participants are Ivan Serik from Russia, Matteo di Meo from Italy, Miodrag Pantic from Serbia and Jean Paul Fasquelle from France.

This first leg consists of two races for Bronze and Silver category horses in which the competitors will be awarded points the total of which will determine the winner of the first leg.  The winner’s trophy has been especially commissioned and is a replica of that won by four times powerboats world champion Aaron Ciantar.

A special programme has been prepared for the day which will surely appeal to everyone.  The Mosta Band will be playing popular tunes and there will be a Ferrari and Lamborghini parade.

First race starts at 13:30.
