Maltese swimmer Mark Sammut

Mark Sammut, who forms part of the  ASA National Swimming Team and who presently trains  in the UK with Kelly Swimming Club, broke the 100m butterfly National Short-Course record when he took part in the UK National Inter-County Team Championship Gala held in Ponds Forge Sheffield on Sunday 17 October 2010. Sammut was selected to participate in this prestigious gala involving all English Counties plus teams from Scotland and Wales. He formed part of the Devon team which consisted of 30 swimmers aged 12-17 years. He clocked 59.29 in the 100m butterfly short-course to lower his previous National Short-Course record of 59.48 which he had established last February also in the UK.
