No foreign coach has been named at the MFA Council meeting on Wednesday afternoon. Darmanin Demajo said that the association’s mailbox had received almost 35 applications for the vacant post of National Team coach. He said that all these applications were all handed to the Technical Centre.

The MFA President  remarked that the association is not in a hurry to appoint a coach and therefore ahead of the next international friendly against Liechtenstein a caretaker coach will be appointed.

This site is in a position to confirm that hot favourites to be handed the prestigious role of caretaker coach are Robert Gatt, Ray Farrugia and Edward Aquilina.
