Malta’s Chircop defends his EBF Bantamweight Championship in Scotland UK

Lydon Chircop and Paul Brannan are both set for the European Bantamweight Championship which is due to take place in Motherwell, Scotland, Saturday May 23rd.
The bout has generated a lot of local Interest with over 150 Scottish boxing fans turning up to support the Challenger Brannan at yesterday’s public weighing in ceremony.
Scottish Brannan scaled at 56Kilograms – 500grams over the bantamweight limit and Chircop of Malta 55.6 kilograms. The pair will compete for the European Bantamweight Championship, sanctioned by the European Boxing Federation.
“We believe that with Beqqu’s skills, he will be victorious” said James – the 29 year old CEO of the Malta Boxing Association. “He’s a solid fighter and it will be an intriguing match-up.” He added.
Team Malta is compromised from Lydon Chircop Defending Champion, Haithem Laamouz Head Coach and Marc James Team Manager.
