Tuesday, August 8, 2017, 15:15

Malta 5 Slovakia 1

A well planned tactical match played in the hottest point of the day when continual changes of our players meant that we definitely kept our squad fresher wearing down our opponents and could have added to our tally in the fourth session.

The Slovak drew first blood in the fourth minute as a result of a penalty corner award but Malta replied immediately when Ryan Dalli netted from a similar action at the other end. Malta went ahead in the 4th minute of the second period when Tom Degiovanni scored from the penalty spot.

Malta dominated the third quarter scoring three other goals through Ryan Dalli John Williams and Silas Plaehn in the 6th 14th and 15th minutes respectively. This victory means that Malta retained its position in the Euro championship III.
