A full day of squash was organized by Malta Squash in aid of Istrina. The day started with a visit by President Marie Louise Coleiro Preca and her husband Edgar Preca who spoke to the boys and girls who were taking part in the Junior event in the morning. The Junior Open was followed in the afternoon by the B & C events for intermediate and beginner players. The LivingWell Squash Open in aid of Istrina came to a close with the A event for the top players.

The final of the main event was contested between Sebastien Giordano and Jonas Axelsson, with a win for Giordano 11-8, 16-14. The B event was won by Anthony Attard in a close match against James Pacheco, 4-11, 11-8, 11-6. Alessandro Pizzolotto managed to overcome young Daniel Borg in the final of the C event, 3-11, 11-7, 11-6.

Malta Squash would like to thank the LivingWell Health Club and all the squash players who supported this event. A total of €750 was collected for the Community Chest Fund.

The final tournament for 2015 organised by Malta Squash will be the Palace Open. This will be held at the Malta Union Club on Saturday, 12th December and will once again include events for both junior and senior players.

In the meantime, the second round of the Scotts Supermarket National Squash League has now started. This follows an excellent first round with great participation by all players taking part. After starting with 8 divisions in the first round, the number of league participants has now grown to nearly 70 players with the addition of another two divisions in the second round. And more players have expressed an interest to join the league in the third round which will start in January.
