Malta has climbed 7 positions in the International Rugby Board world rankings from No.53 to No.46 after beating Latvia away 28-0 last Saturday. This is Malta’s highest ever position.

Latvia was ranked 6 positions below Malta (at No.59) before last Saturday’s match and now they dropped to No.68. Our next opponents Lithuania (this Saturday at home) are ranked higher at No.39 and when you beat teams which are higher than you, you shoot up the rankings. Next week can we make it into the World’s Top 40 beyond our wildest dreams?
