Malta Handball Association to organise international friendly tournament

The Malta Handball Association announced that it will be hosting an International friendly tournament, on the 5th and 6th November, to serve as part preparation for the men’s national team taking part in the EURO 2020 with the qualifiers taking place in June 2017. The friendly tournament will be held at the University Sports Hall.

Malta will play 4x 40 min matches, twice vs Ireland and twice vs Israel

Swiss referees, Sergio Abalo and Philip Maurer, from the EHF Young Referees Programme will be officiating the Malta Games. Alan Grima will be EHF delegate for all games.

IHF Trophy

Under-20 men’s national team will be taking part in IHF Trophy to be held in Kutaisi, Georgia from 7th – 14th November. The Maltese squad will be departing on the 7th November.

The seven teams taking part are hosts GEORGIA, ARMENIA, ALBANIA, KOSOVO, GREAT BRITAIN, MOLDOVA & MALTA

Malta has been drawn in a tough group together with Moldova and Kosovo.
