It is, yes, a country where the majority are catholic but no football fan has ever imagined that the Malta FA would choose yellow as the colour for our National Team’s third choice kit.

This website can reveal that after an internal discussion between high MFA officials and Givova representatives it was decided that Yellow would now be our official third colour.

In the meantime contrary to what the MFA had thought, our National Team will play the next EURO 2012 qualifier match against Croatia on Wednesday 17th November with an old Givova white outfit. This outfit that Malta will wear was found earlier this week in the Ta Qali stores and has not yet been given the green light by UEFA due to the fact that the brand’s printed logos are larger than the criteria established in the competition’s manual.

It is believed that the MFA CEO Bjorn Vassallo is making his utmost through continuous correspondence with UEFA to get the go ahead and cover this embarrassing situation yet again for Givova.
