Malta, A Better Destination For Superyachts!

The success of the 2009 and 2011 Seminars related to superyachts in general and the local yachting industry in particular was of encouragement and motivation to maintain this initiative on biennial basis. In this regard plans are at hand to stage another Seminar this year where again foreign and local speakers will make the podium.

The seminar, like the previous two, is being organised by Wilfred Sultana & Associates publishers of ‘Yachting in Malta’, the Directory to Malta’s yachting services and facilities since 1976. ‘Malta, A Better Destination For Superyachts!’ will be the theme of the forthcoming Seminar, to be held on Wednesday 11th September where relevant matters related to legal and fiscal incentives, refit and repair, crew training, chartering, policies shortfalls and other interrelated issues will be presented and discussed.

A new concept in this Seminar will be an open discussion by a panel of experts immediately following a number of presentations.

Dr. Chris Cardona, Minister for the Economy, Investment and Small Business, responsible for maritime in general will be the main speaker at the Seminar. This will be a significant presence as it will be an appropriate occasion for all concerned to be enlighten of the ‘new’ Government’s perspectives and projections for the coming years with regards to the Yachting Industry in Malta. At the end of February Wilfred Sultana & Associates organized a Pre-Election Forum where representatives of the three political parties made presentations on their respective Party’s outlook and plans for the yachting industry in Malta.
