Sportinmalta.com has reliable news that ex-Valletta FC defender Luke Dimech will be unveiled to his new club’s supporters in a Summer Party on 4th of July. The supporters out of favour robust defender has been on the lookout for a new club since Valletta suspended him back in May when he was red carded against Sliema Wanderers FC. His gesture towards the fans back then caused a major furore amongst the City faithful in the millennium stand.

Ton Caanen, Valletta’s ex coach has been lured to Cyprus and so was Jordi Crujff who joined him on his coaching staff. Caanen apparently managed to convince his new team that Dimech is the player to sign to strengthen the AEK Larnaca defence. It is known that Caanen has set his sights on a couple of other talented Maltese players whom he would like to lure to this up and emerging Cypriot League with their winners fairing very well in the UEFA Champions League.

Valletta are still being touted to sign last years’ formidable foreigner Denni Rocha Dos Santos who at the moment is in Brazil for his holidays.
