Lino Galea wins Vivendo trap trophy

Last Tuesday being a public holiday The Malta Shooting Sport Federation organized the Vivendo Trap competition on 50 clays with the best six to qualify for a barrage final of another 25 clays.

Lino Galea placed first with 25, 23 = 48+23 = 71

Frans Pace placed second with 24, 24 = 48+21= 69

Jeffery Pisani placed third with 22, 23 =45 + 18 =63+s/off +3

Noel Attard placed fourth with 22, 22 =44 +19 = 63 +s/off +2

Stephen Vella placed fifth with 20, 24 = 44 +17 = 61

Eugenio Borg placed sixth with 23, 22 = 45 +16 = 61

Class A 1st Frans Pace 48/50. 2nd Lino Galea 48/50. 3rd Jeffery Pisani 45/50.

Class B 1st Noel Attard 44/50. 2nd Warren Sammut 40/50. 3rd Antione Bugeja 39/50.

Class C 1st Micheal Galea 42/50, 2nd Lee Micallef 38/50. 3rd Ray Micallef 38/50.

DARREN VELLA WINS SKEET SELECTION COMPETITION

This weekend a Skeet selection shoot was organized on 125 clays and a barrage final of 25 clays for the top six skeet shooters.

Darren Vella placed 1st with 115 (ISSF MQS) +21=136

Clive Farrugia placed 2nd with 112+23 = 135

Noel Scicluna placed 3rd with 104 + a straight of 25/25 = 129

Jason Sciberras placed 4th with 107 + 21 = 128

Joe Muscat placed 5th with 109 + 18 = 107

Paul Sant placed 6th with 105 + 20 =125

Class A 1st Darren Vella 44/50. 2nd Jason Sciberras 44/50.

Class B 1st Ian Grima 45/50. 2nd Noel Scicluna 43/50

WILLIAM CHETCUTI LEADS DOUBLE TRAP SELECTION WITH 140/150

The selection shoots for the participation in The Commonwealth Games 2010 also started in Double Trap today where William Chetcuti took the lead with 140/150. He just returned from Russia yesterday where he qualified in the barrage finals and placed sixth in The ISSF European Championships Kazan 2010.

William Chetcuti managed 43/50, 50/50 and 47/50 = 140/150 (ISSF MQS)

Nathan Lee Xuereb managed 42/50, 42/50 and 44/50 =128/150 (ISSF MQS)

Matthew Grech managed 39/50, 44/50 and 44/50= 127/150 (ISSF MQS)

Derek Bonanno managed 40/50, 35/50 and 45/50= 120/150 (ISSF MQS)

The selection shoots continue next weekend with the Skeet selection on Saturday and Sunday and the Double Trap on Sunday morning.
