La Salle ZT Developments win handball league title

The Men’s National league came to a close last Saturday as La Salle ZT Developments held on to their 100% record following a convincing win over Kavallieri RS2, thus securing their fifth championship title following their success in the Super cup and MHA cup. The team, led by Coach Ian Psaila, has an impressive streak of 11 consecutive wins this season and are still unbeaten.

During the pre-season, La Salle Trendi secured the services of James Farrugia and Neville Borg whilst also promoting a number of youth players to the senior squad namely goalkeepers John Scicluna and Craig Muscat, winger Maurice Meli and back player Karl Baldacchino.

La Salle ZT Developments ended a superb league with an easy win over Kavallieri RS2. The newly crowned champions had Mark Gilson and Chris McClean in fine form hitting the target 13 times.

Despite trying to improve their performance in the second half Kavallieri RS2 failed to impress as La Salle ZT Developments kept inflicting damage on Kavallieris’ rear guard, adding to the goal tally.La Salletherefore remain undefeated this season as the champions now face Luxol Living Well in the knock out semi final.
