La Salle ZT Developments claim MHA Cup title

La Salle ZT Developments beat Kavallieri RS2 in a fast-paced match and managed to bring home more silverware at the club.

Led by coach Ian Psaila, La Salle ZT Developments are still unbeaten this season and made it three wins and a draw in the first competition of the season.

Kavallieri’s promising player Luke Zammit opened the scoreline however La Salle ZT Developments responded immediately through their inspirational captain, Andrew Said. The match was rather balanced initially, with both teams making errors on both ends, howeverLa Sallesurged ahead and maintained such lead throughout the rest of this encounter. Kavallieri RS2 tried to fight their way back into the game however La Salle ZT Developments refused to give away their lead, with John Scicluna effecting some great saves in the Lasallian goal.

In the second half, Kavallieri RS2 put up a brave effort and kept fighting till the dying seconds of the encounter. Promising youngsters Karl Baldacchino and Robert Cachia were given some valuable playing time in the second half, and this ensured that the same level of play was maintained, whereby an eleven goal margin gave La Salle ZT Developments a well deserved victory.

This win merited La Salle ZT Developments their seventh MHA Cup success.
