Forty eight hours before the end of the 2010/11 summer transfer window, Johann Said the Floriana FC President has hit the headlines again as he agreed terms with Sliema for the permanent move of Malta International Ivan Woods.

The player started this season with Mark Marlow’s side but it is believed that the Sliema President Steve Abela was willing to evaluate all offers for main players and it is thought that he could not turn this offer down.

When contacted by this site Abela said “I confirm that we have reached and agreement with Floriana to sell Woods. There is a verbal agreement in place but nothing has been put black on white” added Abela. Sliema have now opted to sell two of their top international players namely Ian Azzopardi to Valletta and now Woods to Floriana.

All eyes of the Wanderers supporters will now be shifted on the up and coming star Miguel Cianter who will obviously now has to shine with more minutes on the pich.
