Premier League club Qormi have struck an agreement with Italian Tommaso Volpi to become their new coach.

Volpi, who has had spells with several low-league clubs in Italy, including Cavese, Viterbese and Montevarchi, is the husband of Angela Perez, a distant relative of Real Madrid president Florentino Perez. She heads Solo Football, the sports agency that captured headlines earlier this week after announcing an agreement to take charge of the technical sector of Division One club Gudja United.

Qormi has made their intentions clear that they want a place in the Championship pool and try to gain a place in Europe for next season, and they also want to improve from last season performance where they ended playing in the Relegation pool.

Having said that Qormi also want to improve their squad with new signings especially foreign players. Personally I will not be surprised if the Foreigners will be Italians.
