Clint Cope Excess RP Bidnija team captain

Malta International Futsal player Clint Cope was very straight forward in his after match comments after the 9-1 defeat to Zelezarec. Visibly disappointed like the rest of his team mates he said “The result is a clear picture of what happened during the match, a very good first half were we made life difficult for our opponents and then the collapse in the second part of the game”. With reference to the first half performance Cope said that his colleagues must see the positive things out of this match especially the reaction to level the score in the first ten minutes of the game.

He remarked “We played with the most quoted team in the group so now we have to look forward to improve our performances for the next games”. The Excess RP Bidnija captain added that he will be the first to try and boost the morale of the other 9 players within his team as according to him the team posses good elements that can still give a hard game to the next two opponents (CF Eindhoven of Holland and Universistatie of Turkey). “It is my duty as captain to try and lift thr morale of the players”. He added that he was personally surprised with the general commitment of his colleagues on the pitch despite the high level of the opponents during this debut match.

On the other hand player coach Florin Anton in his after match comments said that the final score was too heavy for his team and it was not merited to finish on a 9-1. “I spoke with the players in the dressing room at Half time and encouraged them to keep on the tempo we were playing with but it did not happen as the team from Macedonia pushed for more goals to make a show out of their win”

Asked about the limitation of choice in his ten men squad, the ex Hamrun Spartans defender replied that he has a big problem since his players on the bench are all defenders. “This is the problem I have at the moment that I shall be reflecting on in the next hours” concluded Anton.

Excess RB Bidnija will play thier second game of the Preliminary Rounf Group F of the UEFA Futsal Cup 2011 tonight at 6pm. Live updates and live audio visual broadcast commences on this site at 5.55pm.
