ISSF World Championships 2011 Belgrade

Over 600 shooters from 76 countries are taking part in the ISSF World Championships 2011.

This is the first ever ISSF World Championships to be held in Kovilovo Shooting ranges in Serbia.

The 137 shooters that competed in the Trap event saw Massimo Fabbrizi from Italy winning the Gold medal after managing five consecutive perfect straights of 25/25 for 125/125.

He only missed on clay in the barrage finals for 24/25 for a fantastic total of 149/150 which is an Equal World Record.

David Kostelecky from Chec Republic won Silver with 122+s/off+5+24=146
Stephane Clamens from france won Bronze with 122+s/off+4+6 +23=145
Giovanni pellielo from italy placed fourth with 122+s/off+5+22=144
Jaromir Wojtasiewicz from Poland placed fifth with 124+20=144
Rodolfo vigano from italy placed sixth with 122+s/off+5 +19=141

Maltese Trap shooter George Cassar started with two perfect straight of 25/25 yesterday and continued with 21, 22, 20 for a total of 113/125 (ISSF MQS).

Jeffery Pisani managed 19,21,25,23, and 21 for 109/125. While Jason J.aquilina managed 20,24,21,19 and 23 for 107/125.

The Double Trap event will be held next Saturday where William Chetcuti will be competing and Nathan Lee Xuereb will compete in the Juniors Event.
