Is Bogdanovic struggling in Bramall Lane?

Sheffield United’s summer signing, Maltese big man Daniel Bogdanovic is certainly not a happy man with the situation that has left him on the bench more than he’d ever thought this season.

After a great season with his former club Barnsley, Bogdanovic wanted a change in air to prove himself with a bigger club challenging for the top 6 in the Championship. A hit and run situation, where Kevin Blackwell was sacked after a few matches and Gary Speed took over, seems to have changed Boggy’s plan.

While the club’s initial games haven’t been as impressive as one would have expected, Bogdanovic should have been introduced more often as Sheffield are lacking in goals and wins. Sheffield Utd are currently in the 18th position with just 3 wins, 1 draw and 4 losses. The calm Maltese player is still determined to work harder and when the opportunity comes he will rise to the occasion to win his back place in the first eleven.

At the moment he is performing with the reserves but his main goal is to fire goals for the Blades’ first squad. He was on the score sheet last Wednesday against arch-rivals Sheffield Wednesday, where he made no mistake from the 11 yards on the 22nd minute to score the only goal in the match. Bogdanovic was replaced in the 57th minute to be rested for the weekend match.

We all hope that the time will come to see more action from Bogdanovic with some goals to add to that. Daniel Bogdanovic was introduced 4 times this season coming on as a sub.
