Waterpolo side Valletta, runners up of the BOV second division League , have made important acquisitions for their team when they reached an agreement with Clint Debono, Ranier Scerri and Ryan Mock, the latest coming from San Giljan.

Former Maltese international Clint Debono will be playing for the capital after many years of service with Sliema Mc Donalds. The former captain’s relationship with the Ghar id-Dud side turned sour during last season as he was no longer the club’s leader as John Soler was appointed as the new captain.

Ranier Scerri 25, a former Sirens, Sliema and San Giljan utility man will join his home club after an indifferent season with Marsascala The south siders could also offload more players as the club are in financial difficulties.

Valletta also reached an agreement to land Mock from San Giljan as he was no longer part of Karl Izzo’s plans after a difficult spell with the Ballutta side since joining from Sirens.

Neptunes benchwarmer Edward Aquilina known as ‘ic-Cocci’ is longer in the plans of champions Neptunes and was asked to find a new team.

The 29 year old was in talks to move to his former club Sliema McDonalds, but certain members are not keen to bring back the former San Giljan player. Valletta also spoke with the player but he is still forcing his way to join Sliema.
