Update 2.

The Tuesday 10am session was held outdoors at a popular Centro sportivo in Modena. It was closed to both the media and the general public. Some set pieces were tried and re-tested. Herrera confirmed to start.

In the meantime due to popular demand we are linking yesterday’s special edition of Kontrattakk TVM2 here. Watch Ghedin’s Press Cinference and training of Monday morning.

Newly recruited Birkirkara player Edward Herrera will be given a starting line up position in tonight’s game against Italy at the Alberto Braglia Stadium in Modena. Herrera will be replacing Andrew Cohen in Ghedin’s only planned change.

The Malta coach was contemplating if he should also replace Luke Dimech a the back with Valletta’s Jonathan Caruana, but our sources close to the technical staff have suggested that it is unlikely that Ghedin will make any changes to his back four.

Ryan Fenech had a minor setback as in yesterday’s morning session he injured his ankle after a light tackle with Barbara in the nine versus nine game. He should still be in the eighteen man squad but unkikely to be utilised.

Malta will hold a light training session this morning at around 11am under Pagani’s guidance. This session might be held indoor at the Rechigi Hotel where the Malta team is lodging.

In the mean time, Italy’s coach Cesare Prandelli, has revealed that he will change no less than five players from his first eleven who featured against Bulgaria.

In the afternoon press conference he said that it will be important to win against Malta but he will not be looking for a big scoreline win as acording to him he does not like to win games with many goals. He pointed out that his defenders must take extra care of Malta’s Mifsud. When asked about his post Bulgaria game analysis he admitted that the team was not compact and did not play very well. ”We have introduced many young olayers in the team so you have to give us time to settle” he added.
