The Maltese – Australian midfielder John Hutchinson yesterday returned back with the A-league side in Australia Central Coast Mariners after completing his 4 month loan spell with Chinese super league club Chengdu Blades where he was capped 13 times and scored 3 goals, one of them in the last outing last Saturday against Henan Jianye were he scored from penalty spot. Chengdu Blades today played against Guangzhou Evergrande at home. The match ended 2-2 with the Chengdu equalising in the 90minute from penalty spot.

Hutch as affectionally known was interviewed in the central Coast Mariners official site. When asked about the international matches with Malta during his loan spell he replied ‘we lost 3-1 to Croatia, lost to Greece, drew with Georgia, and lost to Latvia. He ended by saying that he is disappointed with the sack of the national coaches.

Graham Arnold, the Central Coast Mariners coach said that Hutch will not travel with rest of the squad for their league clash with Wellington Phoenix. He will reacquaint with his family and will return back to training next Monday. Incidentally  the next match for Central coast mariners next Friday is against another Maltese international Manny Muscat (Wellington Phoenix).  So far Central Coast Mariners lost 2 matches, drew one and won their first match of the season last Saturday against Perth Glory 2-1.

The 31year old midfielder represented Malta 10 times.
