Swieqi Phoenix Handball Club have finished their preseason training preparation for Season 2014/15 with a 3 day training camp in Sicily. The training camp was attended by 28 players, from both the men and women teams, and they were accompanied by 3 coaches and 4 supporting staff. The training camp was an intense one with the players experiencing over 6 hours of training and friendly games per day.

The women’s team had their first taste of international handball where they competed against local Sicilian teams whilst the guys had the opportunity to play games against teams from Italian Serie A teams with positive results against Palermo Kelona Handball and local team Aetna Mascalucia Handball. The Club would like to thank our hosts Aetna Mascalucia who took care of our every need and also managed to get us a meeting with the mayor of Mascalucia who welcomed our team at the local offices.
