Louis Borg reconfirmed as the president

Mr Louis Borg has been reconfirmed as the president of the Malta handball Association after winning a vote of approval during the association’s Annual General Meeting at the Malta handball Association headquarters, in Tal-Qroqq.


Borg was uncontested for his seat but asked for a vote of approval by the club delegates during the meeting.

The MHA chief was given a resounding backing from the delegates present and will now preside over the handball governing body for another term until 2020.

Dr Andrew Decelis who filled the position of vice president for the past four years was also reconfirmed as vice president for another term.

Aloysians Handball Club claimed the Independance cup

Aloysians Handball Club reconfirmed its status following wins in the Independance Cup in both men and women categories. In the men’s final, Aloysians beat Kavallieri  12 – 10. The women’s final, Aloysians managed to triumph over La Salle in a penalty shootout after the match finished 12 -12. 

Five male teams participated in this event. Aloysians, La Salle, HMS and Kavallieri.
Aloysians, Kavallieri, La Salle, Phoenix, and Luxol participated in the women’s category.
 
The event was organised by Sport PN in collaboration with the Malta Handball Association.
Trophies were presented to team captains by MHA President, Mr Louis Borg and Hon. David Agius.
Super Cup Finals

This Saturday 24th September, the official handball season kicks off with the super cup finals.  At 14:00, in the women’s category, Champions La Salle play against rivals cup holders Aloysians. In the Men’s category, at 16:00 super cup holders Aloysians face champions Luxol.
