Handball Referees’ seminar 12-17 December

As part of its continuous investment in the development of the handball game locally, the Malta Handball Association, in collaboration with the International Handball Federation is organising a referees’ seminar between the 12 and 17 of December.  This seminar falls under the new development agreement signed between the two parties.

Mr. Terje Anthonsen is the IHF expert who has been nominated by the international federation to deliver this seminar.  Mr. Anthonsen, Norwegian, has been an international referee for 388 matches between 1975 and 1994, including the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics men’s final between Germany and Yugoslavia, six World Championships finals and eleven European Cup finals. Since 1994, he has also acted as delegate with both the EHF and IHF and was vice president of the Norwegian handball federation for six years.
