Handball: Kavallieri RS2 Teams win both Under 17 categories

For the fifth consecutive season the Kavallieri RS2 Girls team have won the Under 17 league category. The girls managed to win all their games by a large goal difference and finished the season, unbeaten as in previous years. Girls whom won this league five years ago, have gone on to form a the core of Kavallieri 2nd Division and 1st Division teams. The majority of the girls in the squad also form part of the national team.

In the boys sector, Kavallieri were once again crowned champions of this category for the second consecutive season and the third time in club history. The boys team under the guidance of coaches Luke Zammit, Steve Psaila and Anthony Xuereb also finished this year’s league on an unbeaten run winning all games by a large goal margin too.

Kavallieri’s investment and hard work in the youth categories, aims to strengthen the club senior squads in the near future. Kavallieri Handball Club are now also catering for ages 7 to 11 children with a Summer School being organised by the club with training at St. Martin’s College, Swatar and Mosta Secondary School.
